Innerscapes Volume 7

by Beth Wittenberg

This is taken from the series “beasts, buildings, and storms.” Wittenberg says, “I make bold marks very quickly and continue making smaller and smaller marks until the composition is complete. At first I see eyes and create a creature- A BEAST, who exists in a psychological landscape, full of raging storms, signalling transformers, and electrical impulses. There are places that protect the beasts, places where they worship, where they congregate, those are the buildings and often times I dipict them as pluses, some see them as crosses. But for me they are pluses.”
